knowledge & skills to help you succeed! Classes include information on grocery shopping, label reading, snack tips, portion
sizes, eating out and more! Classes are not consecutive, so you can attend as few or as many as you like.

Heart Healthy Class
A 2 part series that will teach you how to follow a low cholesterol, low fat, low sodium (low salt) diet.
This class covers necessary information for heart-healthy grocery shopping, label reading, snack tips, portions sizes,
exercise tips, eating out and more! Following this diet with regular exercise has been proven to lower cholesterol,
lower blood pressure and help lose those unwanted pounds!
Getting Started
Have you tried to lose weight by following restrictive diets, only to be frustrated with little success, and maybe even
gained those unwanted pounds back? What went wrong? This class will teach you what you need to know to succeed in weight
loss and weight management.
Smart Grocery Shopping
Are you being deceived by false advertising? Are you victim to impulse buys? Learn what the food companies don't want you to know!
Label Reading
Do you REALLY know what you are buying? What's REALLY in that food? How to properly read and understand labels!
Portion Distortion
How much are you REALLY eating? What is a portion size? Are you eating too much or too little? This class compares how
much you should eat to how much you actually eat.
Carbohydrates, Protein & Fat(Two part series)
Part 1- What are they, really?? We will start with the basics about the 3 macronutrients: Carbohydrates, Protein and Fat.
If you don't know how to classify nuts (peanuts, almonds, etc.) or avocados, you need to come to this class!
Part 2- Macronutrients in Depth. A more detailed look at Carbohydrates, Protein and Fat. Are there really good and bad protein,
carbs and fat? Which ones are the best? Learn the answers and more in this class!
